Varnish是一款高性能的开源HTTP加速器，可以在Linux下安装运行，在的varnish已经很健壮，所以我也想在我的Cenots服务器上安装varnish，但是我今天安装varnish时报No package 'libpcre' found错误，后来解决方法如下

今天在编译varnish的时候遇到下列错误:

checking for library containing pthread_create... -lpthread
checking for socket in -lsocket... no
checking for getaddrinfo in -lnsl... yes
checking for cos in -lm... yes
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for PCRE... no
configure: error: Package requirements (libpcre) were not met:

No package 'libpcre' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PCRE_CFLAGS
and PCRE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

开始以为没装pcre，于是下载安装后，继续，问题依旧。安装完prce-devel后。ldconfig 都不行。后来断定是没有安装pcre-devel的问题。Centos服务器上使用yum install pcre-devel安装说是缺少libpcre包，但是系统明明有，后来google了一下，终于找到了答案：

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig

执行后你在编译就没问题了

终于把varnish安装成功了，这样我的Centos服务器也像那些大的门户网站一样有了强大的HTTP加速器。
